Christmas Carols by Candlelight

St Johns and Coin Street say thank you to everyone who came along and donated to the Christmas Carols by Candlelight service.
St John's was full to the brim with visitors who listened to performances from three different singing groups, enjoyed mince pies and mulled wine, and browsed festive stalls. The event raised an incredible £1,671 towards St. John's Room for You and Coin Street's Youth and Community programmes. We hope to see you all again next year.
Coin Street timetable for 2026

Race Equality Week talk
As part of our Race Equality Week, Coin Street invites you to attend a talk delivered by Coin Street colleague Natasha Randall.
Natasha made history as Chelsea FC Women’s first ‘inspirational Black captain’ from 1997 to 2002. Her leadership and achievements paved the way for greater representation of women in football; and now you have the chance to hear her story first hand.
Natasha’s journey is featured in Chelsea Football Club: The Official History by Rick Glanvill, a richly illustrated book that captures the club’s legacy. This talk is more than football; it’s about resilience, representation, and breaking barriers.
Date: Tuesday 3 February
Time: 1 to 2pm
Venue: Coin Street neighbourhood centre

Update on the Royal Street development
Guy's & St Thomas' Foundation and Stanhope are working together to deliver Royal Street, a thriving new place for innovation, health and communities that will support a diverse mix of industries and talents.
The Winter Community Newsletter provides a project update, particularly around the commencement of works to improve the public spaces to the rear of Canterbury House. This first phase of work will significantly improve the area into a tranquil landscaped space with seating, new planting and paving ahead of work beginning on the new homes.
