Grants Programmes for the Waterloo and South Bank Area
SoWN is delighted to have been asked to run two grants programmes specifically intended to benefit residents and communities of this area.
LONDON EYE COMMUNITY CHEST
The London Eye Community Chest has now been re-launched, after last running in 2016. A fund of £60,000 is available, in grants from £1,000 to £10,000, for projects that help to build community and strengthen community resilience in the Waterloo and South Bank area. For details, click here.
WATERLOO AND SOUTH BANK HEALTH AND WELL-BEING GRANTS 2024
Earlier in 2024 we launched the Waterloo and South Bank Health and Wellbeing Grant Fund 2024, funded by Lambeth Together. This fund, applications to which are now closed, supports projects that promote the general health and wellbeing of people living in the area covered by this map. 12 projects have been given grants ranging from £2,000 to £8,000 and include:

Gardening for wellbeing on Millennium Green

Pilates for older residents in China Walk

Digital skills training at various venues in the area

Engaging excluded young people through dance

Upgrading facilities at the Webber St Day Centre for rough sleepers

Support for neurodivergent children and their parents at Coin St Neighbourhood Centre

Free football sessions for children at Colombo Centre

Focused support for children with special educational needs

Expert support for a local sewing and social group

Wellbeing club activities at St John’s Waterloo

Story-telling workshops for people experiencing structural inequalities

Support for parents and care-givers in low-income households, at Oasis Hub
