The Neighbourhood Plan

The South Bank & Waterloo Neighbourhood Plan is the result of a long consultation process involving hundreds of local residents and businesses culminating in a referendum across the area in October 2019, and the Plan’s formal adoption by Lambeth and Southwark Councils.  The Plan sits within the wider context of the Lambeth and Southwark Local Plans and the London Plan, and the local authorities must take account of it when considering ways to improve the area, particularly in relation to planning applications and public spaces, but also with regard to a range of community interests, including use of funds from large developments. Other issues covered include environment, retail, housing, streets, transport, community and culture.
