Notice of SoWN's Annual General Meeting - 5th October 2026 at 10.30 a.m. at St John's Waterloo
You are warmly invited to SoWN's AGM on Monday 5th October at 10.30 a.m at St John's Church, Waterloo Road, SE1 8TY.
This will be the sixth AGM since the Neighbourhood Plan was formally approved in December 2019.
It will be a short formal AGM for the election of Trustees. The Trustees have oversight of SoWN, making sure that we meet our constitutional responsibilities. They work closely with the Steering Group which directs SoWN’s work. The Steering Group is currently working on a more detailed report of last year’s activities, and a forward plan, which will be presented at a South Bank and Waterloo Forum. A Trustee may serve for a maximum of three three-year terms.
Voting for election of trustees must be in-person or by proxy.
It is important to have a diverse and representative group of trustees from across the area, and with a balance of residents and businesses. If you are interested and willing to serve as a trustee, please register your interest by emailing the Secretary, at mail@sowneighbours.org.
Carmelita Lee, Bushra Iqbal and Daniel Fulvio have all needed to resign as Trustees during the year. Their contributions as Trustees has been much appreciated
Current Trustees are Suat Binkaya (business representative), David Clarson (resident), Giles Goddard (resident/local organisation), Michael Johnson (resident/business), Liz Sillett (business representative) and Max Weiner (resident). As one third of the Trustees must resign each year Suat Binkaya and Max Weiner are resigning as Trustees and offer themselves for re-election.

If you are unable to attend, you may nominate another member to vote on your behalf on any matter by completing and returning the Proxy Voting Form below the agenda here. Our Constitution requires 2%, currently 21, of our members to either be present or send a proxy.
