Hands up

South Bank & Waterloo Neighbours is now nearly 200 strong, comprising residents, workers and others form all walks of life involved in designing the future of the area.  This group is ultimately in charge of the neighbourhood plan.

In addition, a steering group representing the wider membership has been selected to represent the wider group.  34 candidates in a number of different membership categories – representing businesses and public sector organisations of different sizes, residents and community groups – put themselves to the vote.  The ballot ended on 13 September and the duly elected candidates are announced as follows:

Individuals who live in the area

Cllr David Noakes (Cathedral’s Ward, Southwark) and Cllr Peter Truesdale (Bishop’s Ward, Lambeth) also sit on the steering group as non-voting members.

Elections are annual and will be carried out again in September 2014.
